HISTORYS OF RAKSHA BANDHAN :-
Bhavishya Purana:-
No one knows when the Rakhi festival started. But there is a description in the Bhavishya Purana that when the war started between Devas and Demons, demons started dominating. Lord Indra panicked and went to Jupiter. Indrani, Indra's wife, was listening to everyone sitting there. She sanctified the silk thread with the power of mantras and tied it on her husband's hand. Incidentally, it was the day of Shravan Purnima. People believe that Indra was victorious in this battle only by the mantra power of this thread. From the same day on the day of Shravan Purnima, the practice of tying this thread is going on. This thread is considered fully capable of giving wealth, power, joy and victory.
HISTORY DETAILS IN OUR PURANS ON RAKSHA BANDHAN :-
In the Skandha Purana, Padmapuran and Srimad Bhagwat, the story of Raksha Bandhan is found in the story called Vamnavatar. The story goes like this: When Danavendra Raja Bali tried to seize the kingdom of heaven after completing 100 yajnas, the gods of Indra prayed to Lord Vishnu. Then Lord Vamana took incarnation as a Brahmin and came to seek alms from King Bali. Even after the Guru's refusal, Bali donated three steps of land. God measured the entire sky in three steps and sent King Bali to the abyss, measuring the earth. Thus, this festival is also known as Balev due to Lord Vishnu shattering the pride of the sacrificial king. It is said that once Bali went to the abyss, Bali sacrificed his life to God with his devotion. Took the promise of staying in front. [8] Troubled by not returning to the house of God, Narada Ji told Lakshmi as a remedy. Following that remedy, Lakshmi went to King Bali and tied her Raksha Bandhan and made her her brother and brought her husband Lord Bali with her. That day was the full moon date of Shravan month. In a passage in the Vishnu Purana it is said that on the full moon day of Shravan, Lord Vishnu took the incarnation as Hayagreeva and reclaimed the Vedas for Brahma. Hayagreeva is considered a symbol of learning and wisdom.
